Corrupted Vor however resembles an aged light Grineer in unique brown armor, with the exception of his torso existence separated from his legs, linked solely by the energies of his Orokin Key manifesting equally a swirling mass of low-cal in what used to be his abdomen.

Behavior [ ]

  • Nervos Mine: Vor throws a small mine that deals DmgElectricitySmall64.pngElectricity impairment.
  • Janus Key: Vor uses his Void Central to burn a sustained laser.
  • Gold Eruption: Vor uses his Void Fundamental to erupt gilded lights from the ground.
  • Teleport: Vor teleports around the battleground.

Strategy [ ]

Corrupted Vor's battle is much simpler compared to his preceding class, though no less dangerous. This is a single-phase battle, unlike most bosses, with no invincibility phases. As he spawns at level forty-50, Corrupted Vor possesses very large health, shield, and armor values. Depending on the mission, Corrupted mobs may constantly spawn to assist him until he is defeated.

The just part of his body that takes impairment is the swirling mass of low-cal connecting his belly and lower torso, and no other part of him takes any damage although they are all the same susceptible to proc. His tendency to Teleport almost constantly may prove hit the light hard.

  • Vor's upper torso can exist Desecrate130xDark.pngDesecrate d upon death, while his lower trunk can not.
  • Using DmgToxinSmall64.pngToxin , DmgRadiationSmall64.pngRadiations , or DmgCorrosiveSmall64.pngCorrosive  weapons to kill Vor will modify his expiry blitheness. Adding toxic disintegration effects and collapsing at the end, leaving a green puddle in the shape of his body on the footing.
  • Vor is susceptible to the Raksa Kubrow'south Howl, near probable the simply fashion he can exist seen walking rather than teleporting.

Trivia [ ]

  • Captain Vor supposedly proclaims himself as energy, an immortal being incapable of destruction. Interestingly, he shares this aforementioned attribute equally the Seven of the Orokin, who, according to Ordis' Lore Fragments cannot truly die even when "killed". This leads to speculation as to whether or not Captain Vor'southward current status is regarded as the same as the Vii.
  • At the same fourth dimension, abilities that Vor possesses are very similar to Operator abilities: he can attack his enemies with energy beam or energy pulse and tin change his disposition in a moment, very similar to the operator quickly entering Void Mode, dashes and leaving Void mode.
  • The Corrupted version of Vor is only referred to as "Vor" both in the Codex and in-game, implying that Vor has lost his captaincy following his 'death' and rebirth.
  • Vor previously had the unique distinction of being both the lowest level Boss (on Tolstoj, Mercury), and the highest level dominate in-game at the same time. This was changed in Update: Specters of the Rail 0.0 (2016-07-08), which changed map progression such that Jackal on Venus became the lowest level Boss.
    • He is too the only boss character with three separate and distinct instances agile simultaneously, being present in Mercury, Ceres, and the Void, making him the almost ubiquitous graphic symbol in the game.
  • Vor is the first boss to drop Event mods.
  • Although labeled every bit being 'corrupted' by his Void key, the codex does not classify him as part of the Corrupted or Orokin faction and instead still resides equally Grineer. This may be a error on DE's role to categorize him, or he is indeed still of the Grineer faction and non entirely consumed by his key'southward corrupting influence.
    • The theory of corruption is further cemented past a trailer that shows a room of Grineer kneeling before Corrupted Vor.
  • Vor's vocalism lines are triggered by spawning, a certain loss of wellness and shields and death.
  • In his Corrupted grade, Vor has a distinct repeat effect added to his vocalisation, making him seem more than otherworldly equally a result.
    • Due to Vor's long lines, he used to keep speaking long afterward he was killed. This was considered a issues until DE added a few lines referencing the fact that, because Vor can not be destroyed, he continues to speak — likely as a joke referencing the bug and a means by which to brand information technology seem intentional without actually fixing it.
    • The labeling of his Orokin Key as a "Janus Fundamental" could be a reference to Janus, the ancient Roman god of beginnings and transitions (doors, passages etc.).
